A downloadable Gameboy Chiptune Pack
8-BIT GAMEBOY SONGS DX - THE COMPLETE COLLECTION
.UGE .MOD .SAV .C .MP3 .WAV .VGM
---------------------------------
Got a bit of music for me?
Several bits, actually!
OVER 35 TRACKS/60 SFX!!
are in this collection of Game Boy chiptunes, including GB Studio (.uge/.mod/.sav/.vgm), GBDK (.c) and .mp3/.wav formats
Included are the 8-Bit Gameboy Songs DX SFX pack, VOL 1 / VOL 2 UGE conversions, and a NEW VOL 3.
If you're only interested in one of the packs, click the links provided for each project.
For your listening pleasure, a sampling of these tracks has been provided (HEADPHONES RECOMMENDED):
Tracks (Vol 3, Vol 2, and Vol 1):
---------------------------------
Sounds like my kind of waves!
If you like the tracks, these assets are available for purchase to use in your projects!
.zip folders are grouped by file type (.uge, .c, etc.) and Volume (1, 2, or 3). No need to download them all if you don't need every format!
If you'd like to request custom 8-bit song commissions, you can reach out to me at thetiptoptomcat@gmail.com

---------------------------------
What kind of vibes should I expect?
Track lengths are based on the initial loop duration of the track when exported to .mp3

"SLOW" and/or "FAST" versions of files have been included for your convenience, and "DRUMLESS" versions have been included that do not use the "noise" channel (CH4).
Sound effects may overlap with songs that use all four channels. Along with having "DRUMLESS" versions without CH4, all songs attempt to minimize CH2 usage to help with SFX overlap.
Note that the preview uses .mp3 and .wav versions, which may not reflect actual ROM playback speeds (gbstudio docs).
For .mod, you can sometimes tweak speeds with "Disable 50/60 hertz speed conversion" in GB Studio using [View] -> [Music].
For .uge, you can use the GBStudio Music editor to make changes (note that there may be multiple FXX tempo / BXX pattern changes)
---------------------------------
Any last words?
All songs are original compositions by me (TipTopTomCat) unless otherwise noted. Tracks in this series were made using OpenMPT and hUGETracker software. Sound effects (SFX) were made using OpenMPT, hUGETracker, and FX Hammer.
The provided assets (8-Bit Gameboy Songs DX © 2025; Knucklebone DX © 2026) by TipTopTomCat have the following rules for use:

See https://tiptoptomcat.itch.io/ for previous Vol 1/Vol 2 versions (.mod/.mp3/.wav)
Each track has been verified to run in GBStudio. If you do use these assets I'm always happy to see what you've made!

Thanks for the music! They sound cool and awesome, and their retro vibes fit well for my short turn-based combat visual novel here! I also credited you properly, too, with a link back to this page here.

Can I use these songs in a game engine that's not GBstudio, like Unity for example? Also can players/creators monetize videos or livestreams containing this music without copyright claims, DMCA takedowns or demonetization?
Both of those situations are allowed! These sounds are usable for commercial and non-commercial products, which includes games made in any engine, as well as things like videos, live streams, and monetized content
In each case, the main stipulations are that credit is to be given to "TipTopTomCat", and the assets cannot be redistributed or claimed as your own work as noted at the bottom of the project page
這有寶可夢(p--o---k--e.....)的音效或音樂嗎?
Thank you for your interest in the pack! The music and sounds were made as original compositions.
Pokemon has influenced my life, and I could say the songs "Onward", "Wild Wind", and "Curiosity" are somewhat Pokemon-ish? But none of them are really trying to imitate Junichi Masuda's style.
If you're able to access the SoundCloud and YouTube previews on the project page, you'll be able to hear some sample songs and sounds for yourself!
Thanks for the awesome music! I've used it in my new game Skelost, and credited you.
